I am 2 hours away from this business but Charles graciously came to my home and measured. Went back to his shop and in less than 2 weeks he was back installing my beautiful navy blue 1/2 window Bahama shutters. The sun was unbearable inside the front of my house and even with the 1/2 shutter I requested it has made a huge difference. But more than that, the shutters are hand crafted with many coats of primer and paint and the sheen is perfect. What a difference it made in the curb appeal of my home. Bahama shutters are not just for the coast, they look so good on my house. Charles is very professional and his expertise is unmatchable. He takes so much pride in his work. Not just building, but installing them. Everything is level and square and believe me I have an eye for crooked pictures, windows, everything. They are perfect and I 100% recommend Coastal Shutter and Shade. Tell him Sandy sent you so that he’s reminded of a customer that totally loves his work.
Tomorrow Coastal Handcrafted Shutter and Shade will be In Sumter SC installing phase two of my beautiful Navy Blue wooden Bahama Shutters. I had Charles Hixenbaugh create them for the front of my house to help block the afternoon sun. After looking at them, I asked him to make 11 more to cover the rest of the windows. I went with covering a little over 1/2 of each window. That leaves the bottom open but what a difference it has made with cutting out the hot sun. I am 100% pleased with his workmanship, installation and he is extremely fair with his prices. I have been through a lot of hard days in the past few years, and these were a present to myself and boy did I choose the right person to build them. Sumter is a long way from North Myrtle Beach but Charles was gracious enough to make this trip several times. I absolutely could not be more pleased with what he built for my modest home. He made it look like a million bucks!!! Thank you my new friend.
